The Dec 11 - Dec 17 week contained the last Open Cup round of the year: the Grand Prix of Peterhof (problems, results, top 5 on the left). The deciding problem H required the ability to find the exponent a formal series fast, and the teams that were able to do so claimed the first two places —

I found the relatively easy problem J very nice. You are given an integer with at most a million digits. You need to determine if it's a perfect square or not. You don't need to actually find the square root. Can you see how to get this problem accepted on the 8th minute of the contest?
